Myanmar’s pro-military party won detained leader Aung San Suu Kyi’s former parliamentary seat in junta-run elections. The military deposed and detained Suu Kyi in a 2021 coup, claiming she secured a landslide election win over pro-military parties the previous year by means of massive voter fraud.
